BEHIND THE NEWS: A Spotlight on Our Team
Azle and Springtown local Cynthia Garcia is back on her old beat. The student journalist is interning for The Azle News and Springtown Epigraph over the summer.
Garcia attended Springtown schools from kindergarten through fourth grade and Azle schools from fifth grade through her senior year. She graduated Azle High School in 2022, where she was co-editor-inchief of the student newspaper — The Sting. Garcia had been with the paper since her sophomore year. She is currently a journalism student at the University of North Texas and hopes to graduate in the spring of 2026.
