Keep it a quarter City weighs lowering minimum general fund balance
The city of Azle is looking for money and preferably lots of it.
Members of the city council and administrators of the city’s different departments joined together for a special June 17 meeting of the minds to discuss the city’s financial future. More than $80 million in project requests were presented to the council by Azle City Manager Tom Muir. The projects, how to prioritize them and — most importantly — how to pay for them were the main subjects of discussion for the evening.
