PC ESD 1 awarded interim fire marshal contract

Parker County Emergency Services District 1 has landed an interim interlocal agreement to provide fire marshal services for Parker County.

On Thursday, June 26, a special commissioner’s court was called to discuss appointing the first responder agency to the Fire Marshal position. The contract will last until Oct. 1 at a rate of $30,000 per month. Funding will come from the contracted services line and Fire Marshal’s budget with any additional funding to come from contingency.

For over a year, the county has been without an official fire marshal since it accepted the resignation of County Emergency Management Coordinator Sean Hughes in June 2024.
