Azle’s Main Street experienced an unwelcome blast from the past after a fire broke out at Dexter Trailer Components.

A concerned citizen called the Azle Fire Department about smoke coming from both ends of the industrial site at 604 W. Main St. just after 5 p.m. July 10. According to an incident report from the AFD, electrical arcing caused equipment or a heat source to ignite within the east facing wall of the building.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 5:11 p.m. where they cut a locked gate to gain entry.
