Young golfers sharpen skills, compete and embrace growth at one-of-a-kind campus venue
For four days, the future of Azle golf was on full display as 44 young athletes participated in the annual Hornet Golf Camp, hosted July 21–24 by head boys golf coach Brad Averitte and head girls golf coach Derek Dorris.
Held at the Azle ISD indoor golf facility, the camp featured hands-on instruction, simulator-based training, and a final-day competition that highlighted both progress and passion. With limited spots, the strong turnout filled the state-of-the-art facility with energy, enthusiasm and promise.
