Keri Dorris named Silver Creek principal

Longtime Azle Independent School District employee Keri Dorris has been named Silver Creek Elementary principal. This is Dorris’ 27th year in education, 22 of which have been spent in the AISD.

Dorris bleeds green. Both her children graduated from Azle High School as did her husband, who is also head football coach and athletic coordinator at Azle High School.

While she says she has big shoes to fill, she is thrilled for the opportunity to do so. Former Silver Creek Principal Aubri Deheck left Azle after her husband was offered the opportunity to be head football coach at Splendora ISD. She now serves as director
