Hornets sweep inaugural Clash of the Classes meet
Azle High School crosscountry celebrated the debut of its new home course in style Aug. 8, as both the Hornet girls and boys teams captured titles in the first-ever “Azle Clash of the Classes.”
The meet featured runners competing within their grade levels, but overall winners were determined by fastest times. Azle freshman Jazmin Neri claimed the top spot in the girls’ race, while 24 of her teammates earned individual medals for placing in the top 10 of their respective grades.
