New 2.5-mile trail built behind Forte Junior High

After more than a decade of dreaming, Azle High School head cross-country coach Kelsie Jones saw her vision become reality Monday, Aug. 4, with the opening of Azle’s new cross-country course.

Located just northwest and behind Forte Junior High School at 479 Sandy Beach Road, the 2.5-mile course winds through rolling hills and wooded terrain, offering what Jones calls a “true crosscountry experience.”
