Fire department says it cannot continue providing services under current leadership
Reno citizens face another challenge as the Briar-Reno Fire Department has decided to cut ties with the city. In a letter to the city’s mayor and city council and obtained by The Azle News, the department said it will no longer provide services to the city of Reno effective Oct. 1.
“The Briar-Reno Fire Department will not ex- tend a contract for services to provide fire suppression, emergency medical response, or fire marshal services to the city of Reno,” BRFD said in the notice.
