5 injured in boating incident on EML

Five people, including two children, were injured Sunday, Aug. 31, when their boat struck a dock on Eagle Mountain Lake.

According to the Tarrant Regional Water District, officers with its Law Enforcement Division responded to the scene near Miller Road on the northwest portion of the lake at about 7 p.m.

Officers located two small children, two adult males and one adult female who had each sustained injuries in the crash. The children were transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center and are expected to fully recover. All three adults were transported to Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth for treatment and are also expected to fully recover, according to TRWD.
