AZLE ISD
Mr. Smith just completed his 28th school year in Azle ISD, with 13 years in campus administration and six years as a district administrator. In June 22, 2020 he was named Superintendent of Schools by the Azle ISD Board of Trustees. He is thankful for the passion and dedication exhibited by Azle ISD faculty and staff and is extremely proud of the work Azle ISD has accomplished and the impact they will continue to make in the lives of our students.
The 2025-2026 school year is in full swing. It has been a fantastic start to the school year, with more than 7,200 Azle Hornets in our hallways and classrooms. Fall sports at both the high school and junior highs are going strong, including the traditional Friday Night Lights experience for students, families and the community.
