Owner Natalie Brister reflects on the joy of serving the community with handcrafted syrups and friendly smiles
As summer winds down, so does the season at Natalie’s Snow Shack — a warm, welcoming spot known for its homemade syrups, friendly faces, and long-standing ties to the Azle community. The last snow cones of the year will be served Sept. 30, as they are every year, when a city ordinance requires the stand to shut down for the season.
Natalie Brister, the owner of Natalie’s Snow Shack, was inspired by her college roommate — who ran a snow cone stand to pay for school — and by her entrepreneurial mother. In April 2005, she opened her own stand to help cover her college tuition.
