Former Azle coach Spencer Elliot hospitalized; community rallies to support family
A tragic wrong-way crash early Sunday morning on Boat Club Road left one woman dead and several others, including Keller High School coach and teacher Spencer Elliot, critically injured.
Authorities said the collision occurred in the 5800 block of Boat Club Road when a Dodge Ram traveling the wrong direction struck the vehicle carrying Elliot, his wife, Brytni and the couple’s 12-year-old daughter. Brytni Elliot was pronounced dead at the scene. Spencer Elliot, a former Azle High School football and baseball coach, remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The couple’s daughter also sustained critical injuries in the crash but her condition has been upgraded to stable, according to family friends.
