An Azle resident has been sentenced to 60 months — a total of five years — in a federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Alan Spencer Thompson was previously arrested by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office after he called 911 in October 2024 and admitted to hearing voices from his hearing aid telling him to bring a firearm and commit violence at two Azle schools: Silver Creek Elementary and Azle Christian School.
Thompson was apprehended after multiple weapons were seized from his home and he was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon after being released from a psychiatric ward in John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth.
