McAlister named Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week

Azle graduate shines with 254-yard, three-touchdown performance for TCU

Former Azle Hornet and current TCU wide receiver Eric McAlister has been named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week after a record-chasing performance in the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs’ 45-27 win over Southern Methodist University Saturday, Sept. 20.

McAlister, a 2021 Azle High School graduate, lit up the Mustangs’ defense with eight receptions for 254 yards and three touchdowns. His outing was the talk of the college football world. On the season, McAlister has 13 catches for 320 yards, an average of 24.6 yards per catch.
