ABOVE: Azle High School’s drama club performed its first production of “Almost, Maine” Sept. 19 in the school auditorium.

The Azle High School Drama Boosters Club showcased its first ever production of John Cariani’s “Almost, Maine” Friday, Sept. 20. This was the first time members were able to display their acting chops while bringing Cariani’s vision to the stage of AHS.

Friends and family circled on stage surrounding their young thespians and chanting along, as is called for during an immersive play. The 90-minute production took audience members through eight short episodes as they navigated relationships, love, loss and hope in the fictional town of Almost, Maine.

Cast and crew received a standing ovation from audience members as they formed a circle, held hands and took the final bow.
