SPOTLIGHTING SENIORS
September is National Senior Center Month and started with Mayor Rande Goode presenting a proclamation at the first city council meeting of the month. Director Jackie Joy was present along with Marcus Rockwell, vice president of adult activity centers for Meals On Wheels, and Amanda Scott, special events and activities coordinator for the city of Azle.
A lot of special events are planned for this celebration. Included was a tour of the Azle Fire Station, a celebration of Patriot Day and Friday, Sept. 12 we’ll take a day trip to Eagle Mountain Plaza for the Webster Brothers Ministries live show.
