Videos on social media alarm readers, city officials
An Azle firefighter who was depicted in two videos posted to social media Tuesday evening, Sept. 16 has resigned his position with the city of Azle, according to the Azle Fire Department. Tyler Stein, 32, was subsequently arrested and charged with cruelty non-livestock animal: kill/poison/serious bodily injury, a felony in the third degree. As of Monday, Sept. 22 at noon, Stein remained in the Tarrant County jail awaiting arraignment and bond.
The videos depicted the man, presumably in his home inside the Fort Worth city limits, physically abusing a dog and screaming at a young child. The social media posts immediately caused a stir among viewers, some of whom reported them to officials at the city of Azle.
