Greer’s new book released first in Azle

More than 100 people were treated to a few songs, a brief video clip and a recitation from a new book Saturday evening at Azle Christian Church — all courtesy of Azle native Andrew Greer.

Those in the relatively small group are the first to have the opportunity to purchase and read the book “More than a President: Sundays with Jimmy Carter,” which contains 15 of Carter’s Sunday School teachings compiled and edited by Greer. The book is slated for wide release Oct. 1, but Greer obtained permission from the publisher to release the first copies at the event in his hometown.
