Local law enforcement and first responders will soon get up close and personal with Azle residents for a night of community engagement and collaboration — otherwise known as National Night Out.
This free annual event — set from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Azle Memorial Library/Central Park, 263 W. Main St. — will give community members a chance to meet their neighbors and learn about their local police and fire departments.
Field Operations Lt. Dora Grissom with the Azle Police Department said the biggest highlight of the event is the genuine connection National Night Out fosters between both officers and the community.
