After the former Tri-County Reporter was purchased by Bryson Burtnett in late February, things began changing rapidly. Within three weeks, The Azle News and Springtown Epigraph were reborn, replacing the Tri-County Reporter and returning the beloved newspapers to their respective hometowns.
The sports section returned as the 2025-26 school year began, and longtime Azle High School basketball and golf coach Eddy Prather, who joined the staff in June, is hard at work bringing you all the information you’re looking for about sports in your town.
