Azle High School senior Miley Massey is taking her talents overseas. The standout setter and all-time assist leader for the Lady Hornets has officially committed to play volleyball at the Rome City Institute in Rome, Italy, while pursuing a degree in international business.
Massey, a three-year varsity starter and back-to-back first-team all-district selection, was recruited this past summer when the Rome City staff invited her to their elite training camp. After showcasing her skills, she received an offer to join the program.
“Without hesitation I accepted the offer, as it has always been my dream to go abroad,” Massey said.
