The future of Azle volleyball looked bright Saturday, Sept. 27, as the sub-varsity teams showed up and showed out in the 199 Showdown at the Azle High School Gym.
The freshman A squad brought home the championship, capping an impressive day on the court. Freshman B battled their way to a runner-up finish, while the junior varsity team won their pool and advanced to the gold bracket playoffs.
Adding to the celebration, Zaylyn Woods earned tournament MVP honors for her standout play with the Freshman A team.
