Graduating high school seniors in 4-H and FFA in the Tri-County area are eligible to apply for the AgYouth of the Month Scholarship Program that AgTexas Farm Credit created 10 years ago.
So far, the program has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to students in the 43 counties AgTexas serves. In addition to the $20,000 awarded in $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors, AgTexas will present awards to a graduate student and a 4-H or FFA leader in each of the three regions the Ag cooperative serves.
The graduate scholarships will be presented to previous AgYouth of the Month scholarship recipients in the amounts of $2,000, $3,000 and $10,000. AgTexas will also provide a $1,000 award for the outstanding 4-H or FFA leader in each region. Applications are due at noon Friday, Oct. 24.
