Did you wonder what that glorious sound was Sunday afternoon, Oct. 19 on the east side of Azle?
Why, it was the voices of the saints who filled the tiny Wesley Chapel CME Church to capacity, raised in praise and celebration of the church’s 155th anniversary.
The church faithful and many guests gathered for the celebration, which was kicked off by the Rev. Delbra Calton’s signature song, “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.” Members of Tabernacle of Praise and Men of Valor kept the praise and worship going for almost an hour. The theme for the day was “God’s House, God’s Plan.”
