Barbara Joyce (Roberson) Barton, 86, passed from this life Friday, April 17, 2026, in Fort Worth.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 at Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Ave. in Lake Worth. Visitation is scheduled for 2–3 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Barbara was born Jan. 22, 1940, in Fort Worth to the late William Roberson and Laura Lee (Farrell) Roberson.

A lifelong Texan with deep roots in her community, she attended Azle First Assembly of God Church, where her faith shaped the way she lived and cared for others.

Barbara had a gift for making people feel special. Family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every gathering, every conversation, and every moment shared.

She loved to travel and embraced each new place with curiosity and joy, but no matter where she went, home was always where her family was.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Allen Barton, and her parents, William and Laura Roberson.

Barbara leaves behind a family who adored her; children, Peggy and Norm Zilinsky, Michael and Debra Laster, Kenny Laster, and Candice Barton; grandchildren, Ricky Laster and Alaina, Cory Laster, Laura Laster, Samantha Laster and Zach Spidle; along with extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Barbara’s legacy is one of kindness, devotion, and a life lived with a generous heart.

Those who knew her will carry her warmth with them always.
