Mary Sue Green, 82, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, in Paradise, while surrounded by family. 

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31 at the funeral home. Committal service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at the National Cemetery in Dallas. 

Mary was a strong supporter of worthy nonprofit organizations. In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation be made to your favorite organization. 

Mary was born June 6, 1944, to Leo Everett and Elizabeth Gwendolyn (Plummer) McLeod in Marysville, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Green Oct. 12, 1963, in the District of Columbia. Mary attended Clark’s School of Business in Topeka, Kansas, from 1963 to 1964. She dedicated years of service to the Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration and finished with 17 years as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Lake Worth. 

Mary was involved in many organizations throughout her life, generously giving her time and talents to the community. She was a dedicated member of the Lions Club in Bridgeport and previously served with the Lions Club in Azle, where she held the offices of president and secretary. Her commitment to serving others was an important part of her life. Mary was a faithful member of Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise, where her faith and devotion were a cherished part of her life. 

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many who will miss her dearly. 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bobby Joe Green, her parents Leo and Elizabeth McLeod and her sisters, Myra McLeod and Myrna Long of Kansas. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Craig Green and his wife, Brenda of Paradise; granddaughters Sherri Nicholas and her husband Duffy and Julia Crow and her husband Ryan, all of Justin; great-grandchildren Alex Nicholas of Fort Worth, Andrew Nicholas, Isabella Lyon, Ava Lyon and Maverick Crow of Justin; numerous other relatives and a large host of friends.
