Janet Faye Hargrove, 86, loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at First Methodist Church of Azle.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in honor of Janet be made to First Methodist Church, 200 Church Street, Azle, TX 76020.

Janet was born July 24, 1940, in Cisco to Joe B. and Blodwyn Hall. She graduated from Abilene High School and attended Texas Tech University before meeting the love of her life, Gene Hargrove, who she married July 11, 1959. Janet was heavily embedded in her church and community, stepping in as a “second mom,” grandmother and counselor to many.

She will be greatly missed.

Janet is preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Hargrove; and parents, Blodwyn and Joe B. Hall.

Survivors include her sister, Joanne Estes; sons Brent and Randy; daughter Denise; grandchildren Sunni Boenker Wheelwright, Chase and Kensi Boenker and Jake and Emma Hargrove.
