James Douglas “Doug” Donaldson, 68, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, in Fort Worth. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 at Alexander's Midway Funeral Home, 3607 E. Highway 199, Springtown.

He was born July 29, 1958, to Earl Donaldson and Katie (Laxson) Donaldson in Azle. 

Doug grew up in the Azle and Springtown area. In 1979, he married the love of his life, Pamela. They spent 47 years building a life together and raising a family. Doug owned and operated Donaldson Construction.

Doug was known for his dry sense of humor and quick wit. He had a strong work ethic, ensuring his family was provided for. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Doug had many interests, including fishing, collecting, SCUBA diving and trips to Alaska.

Doug will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Carolyn Harrell.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Donaldson; children, Jamie Donaldson and his wife Twila, Nikki Diaz and her husband Lupe and Jimmy Donaldson and his wife Amanda; brother, Wayne Donaldson and his wife Terry; grandchildren, Cameron, Jason, Hailey, Chance, Collin, Gabby, Corben, Gracie, Lane and Maleah; several nieces and nephews; and dog-sons, Buttons and Ziggie.
