In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests tribute donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Cancer Society Research Fund, or that a tree be planted in her memory.
Patricia, Pat or Patsy, was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Frederick, Oklahoma to August and Rena Schrick.
She was the fourth of eight children. She grew up on the family farm and loved the farm life so much she made sure her children experienced it, as well.
She dated a fellow named Tommy Edwards in High School, but he enlisted in the Army … and would reappear in her life, 50 years later. She graduated from High School in 1950 and we think she worked at the Five and Dime store in town.
Later she moved to Wichita Falls and worked at the hardware store near the base, where she happened to meet a dapper young man in the Air Force named Bernard Frank Pinksa, who swept her off her feet. They fell in love and were married July 5, 1952. After his service, he took a job with General Dynamics and they traveled as the job demanded.
They finally settled on some land with an amazing view of the area, and there Bernie built her a beautiful house on the hill between Lake Worth and Azle. It was here that the youngest child of five was born, and the house became a home. Those five kids grew up on an amazing untamed, undeveloped 30 acres covered with live oak, prickly pears, yucca plants, wildflowers and other things that stung and bit. Pat and Bernie’s dreams were so big, but alas those dreams were unfulfilled as he lost a battle with cancer only six years later.
Devastated, Patricia sought comfort in her sister, her children, working the land, and her faith in the Lord and membership at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Seven years later, she met and married Raymond Boy.
They were happily married for 23 years, when cancer also took him in 2004.
Shortly thereafter, that boy she dated in high school reappeared in her life and in 2005, at the age of 73, she married Tommy (Clifford) Edwards at St. Thomas Catholic Church. He loved her dearly and cared for her, until his death in 2022.
Patricia Ann was preceded in death by her parents August and Rena Schrick, her husband of 19 years, Bernard Frank Pinksa, her husband of 23 years, Raymond Boy, her husband of 17 years Tommy (Clifford) Edwards, her beloved daughter Teresa Carrol, her beloved son Mark Alan, her brothers Paul and his wife Imogene Schrick, Kenneth and wife Willetta Schrick, Frank Schrick, and her sister Anna Mae Caron.

Hampton and husband, Dan, and Stephanie Wright and husband, Mike; her brothers, Terry and wife Mari Schrick, Ed and wife Marilyn Schrick, Michael and wife Patsy Schrick; and her sisterin- law Irma Schrick.
