Brenda Fay Chapmon Stovall of Weatherford passed away peacefully in her home March 20, 2025, at the age of 64. Born Aug. 13, 1960, Brenda was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud sister, cherished granny, and friend to many.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be announced by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Brenda’s memory — just as she so often showed kindness to others.

Brenda lived a life grounded in love, family and resilience. She had a nurturing soul, a contagious laugh and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Whether sharing stories with family and friends or simply enjoying the peace of her home, Brenda’s presence made life brighter for everyone around her.

Her legacy will continue in the lives of those who were blessed to know and love her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret LaFountain; father, Paul Chapmon; brother, Clint Chapmon; sister, Paula Duncan; and nephew, Dakota Jeffers.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Ray Stovall, who stood faithfully by her side. She was the proud mother of four children: Elven Dwayne Simmons, Jr. and his wife Kelli Simmons, Aaron Simmons, Amber Simmons, and Dylan Stahl and his wife Shea Stahl.

Brenda found immense joy and pride in her 10 grandchildren: Alexander Simmons, Klayetan Simmons, Sammy Simmons, Gatlin Thomas, Crea Simmons, O’dayin McBride, Wakely Autry, Jason Stahl and Harper Stahl. Her heart overflowed with love for each of them.

Brenda is also survived by her brother, Cliff Chapmon, as well as a wide circle of dear friends who will miss her warmth, sense of humor, and generous spirit.
