Craig Alan Barrett, 68, of Azle, passed away April 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 7, 1956, in Fort Worth to Tommie Gene Barrett and Bessie Barrett.

Craig was a devoted husband, father, Paw-Paw, brother and uncle. He will be remembered for his witty humor, grouchy moods and unwavering love for his family. He continuously opened his heart without hesitation.

Craig set the bar high with his work ethic having a successful career at Tasty Bakeries, Tarrant Beer, Miller Distributing and UPS. Following a lifelong dream, Craig became a registered nurse and retired after 16 years of dedicated service at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his “Queenie” and wife of 48 years, Daniece; son Mikael Barrett (Keith Edwards); daughter Mandi Renfro (Chris); son Zackary Barrett; grandchildren Tye and Cade Renfro; sister Kaye Lynn Judd (Edgar); aunt Marcella Watson; loving nieces and nephews Lacy Iglesias (Chris, Max and Briar); Lora Paschal (Kamryn and Kaesyn); Jason Judd; Whitney Klaassen (Canaan); Steven Brown (Dawn, Amelia and Eleanor); Sarah Breedlove (Chris, Jacob, Aiden and Olivia); numerous other family and friends, as well as his forever companions Champ and Spade.
