Billie Ruth was born April 8, 1942, in Fort Worth to William Levi and Ruth Sanders. She married her husband, Robert Irvin Cantrell Sr., Oct. 23, 1965. Together, they had two children, Keith and Crystal. Billie Ruth worked in the fire restoration industry and eventually owned her own company.
She transitioned from that to helping run their family plumbing business.
She was a hard worker and a very loving wife, mother, and granny. She was a collector of many things, including unique clowns, horse figurines and cookbooks. She loved spending time with her family, talking to her sister, and cooking. Her most enjoyable moments were spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them rotten. She always had time to watch them play sports, attend school events and cart them and their friends around, making sure to always stop at their favorite places. Many friends of her children and grandchildren felt loved by her and she was like a mom or granny to them, too.
Billie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William Levi and Ruth Sanders; her brother, Freddie Sanders; and her husband, Robert Cantrell Sr.
She is survived by her son Keith Cantrell and wife Yvette of Azle; daughter Crystal Cantrell Jones and partner Eric Richardson of Azle; sister Cynthia Sanders Galloway and husband, Hervey; grandchildren Cody Cantrell, Maegan Cantrell Parker, Joshua Jones and Zachary Jones; numerous great-grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew and many beloved friends.
