James Edward Pipla, 71, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, in a Fort Worth Hospital following a long illness.

A graveside service is slated for 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

James was born to Jack and Alice Pipla in Mesa, Arizona May 2, 1954. He served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1976.

He retired from the City of Azle, where he was chosen as the Employee of the Year.

James is proceeded in death by his father, Jack Pipla.

He is survived by his mother Alice Pipla; brother Ricky Pipla of Azle; sister Jackie Pipla Scott of Colorado; niece Jessica Furdaus and husband Jason of Minnesota; great niece, Hope Furdaus of Minnesota; Cheryl Hess of Springtown, the love of his life.
