Gerry Lewis Butler

1948 — 2025

Gerry Lewis Butler, 77, was reunited with our heavenly Father Aug. 15, 2025, in Azle.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor.

Born May 14, 1948, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Gerry lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family and faith, and a deep love for the open road.

For over 30 years, he served as foreman and blade operator at R.E.

Cupp Construction, where with his unwavering commitment and expertise he helped build most of the Alliance area.

In retirement, he found joy in simple pleasures: feeding and loving the neighborhood deer and riding his custom Harley Davidson motorcycle. He cherished every moment on two wheels. A hot-rodder with an encyclopedic knowledge of classic cars and a farmer at heart, he never lost his admiration for equipment.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Butler; daughter Afton Butler; son Kory Butler; two sisters; and others who miss him deeply. He was reunited in heaven with his parents Afton and Samuel Butler; four brothers; and others who held a special place in his world.

Rest in power, Gerry Butler, ride hard ride fast.
