Wayne Robinson, 94, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at a memory care facility in Aledo.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Veal Station Cemetery prior to the service.

Wayne was born July 21, 1931, to Med and Lesca Cockburn Robinson in Parker County. Wayne grew up in the Silver Creek community where everyone knew him as ‘Cotton.’
He graduated from Azle High School in 1948. After graduation he attended Weatherford College. Later he worked at Convair laying panels on the B-36 Peacemaker before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1952, where he was stationed in Greenland. In 1956 he returned from his USAF service, went back to work at Convair/ General Dynamics and met and married Winnie Wallace. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 1991.
They bought a farm in the Silver Creek community where they raised their family. Wayne and Winnie were married for 68 years. Wayne was an active member of the Azle Church of Christ and a founding member of the Silver Creek Heritage Society. Wayne was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand where needed.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
He is survived by his wife Winnie; daughters Vicki (Raleigh) Johnson and Pam (Jeff) Matlock; grandchildren Ashley (Michael) Mazur, Trenton (Sarah) Wright, Vince (Chloe) Matlock and Valarie (Carolyn) Matlock; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Ethan, Virginia, Hannah, Liam and Luke; and a host of friends and family.
