Andrew “Andy” Elmer Easter Jr., 82, of Azle a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, passed away peacefully Sept. 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at White’s Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail in Azle. Interment with military honors will follow at Ash Creek Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate his life.

Born Nov. 13, 1942, in Council Grove, Kansas, Andy grew up with five siblings and graduated from Putman High School in Oklahoma City. Andrew proudly served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring at the rank of master sergeant. During his distinguished career, he was stationed at Schilling AFB, Anchorage AFB, Sandia AFB, Vietnam, Barksdale AFB, Korea, Lackland AFB, Zaragoza AFB, and Vandenberg. His dedication to duty, honor, and country was evident in every aspect of his life. After retirement from the USAF, Andy continued to work at Stratoflex for 18 years, from where he also retired.
Andy loved his family more than you could imagine. He enjoyed fishing, building things aka “piddling,” watching the Dallas Cowboys, Nascar races, and of course the Price Is Right while eating “Bonbons” or Cheetos. Andy and his wife Billie spent many years traveling with their Honey-Do Sam’s camping crew. He cherished his time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, generosity and love for his family, as well as the raising of the eyebrows, and continuously talking during pictures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Easter Sr. and Meredith Easter; brother, Herb Easter; sister, Ada Easter Johnston; stepson, Don O’Connor; and grandson, Michael Golden.
Andy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Billie Marie Easter; daughter, Linda Golden; his son, Jeff and wife, Kristi Easter; stepson, Shawn and wife, Raquel Smithfield; grandchildren, Nicole and husband, Chris Jesperson, Leslie and husband, Taylor White, Rachel and husband, Blake McDonnell, Brandy Clark, Scott Golden, Cody and wife, Presley Easter, and Britney, Cory, and Michael Easter; great-grandchildren, Cheslee, Deliah, Malcom, Elena, Korbyn, Ally, Zane, Aspen, Avery, Athena, Stella and Alayah; and siblings, Bill, Larry and Terry Easter.
The family wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at Springtown Park.
