Sandra Lee Anderson

Sandra Lee Anderson, 78, of Azle — beloved mother, grandmother, and friend — passed away peacefully Dec. 30, 2025. Known to everyone who loved her simply as "Lee," she was a woman whose life was defined by a relentless thirst for adventure and an unbreakable spirit.

Lee's journey was anything but ordinary. From the deck of a sailboat in distant lands to the winding highways of the American landscape, she embraced the world with Sam by her side. Even when the storms of life took their boat, they never took her courage. Whether on the water, on the open road, or in the home she and Sam built in Azle, Lee brought so much love to her family and was a spark of joy for her community.

n the early 80's, Lee and a few of her closest friends would routinely get together for a "Girls Night Out". After gathering for over a decade, they decided to officially create "Ladies Of The Lake" (affectionately known as "LOL"), which has grown to 20-plus members strong, and donates annually to Good N.E.W.S. and the Angel Tree Program. Lee was the original "LOL", a title that perfectly captured her penchant for laughter. Her heart was as wide as the oceans she once sailed, evidenced by her lifelong support of both global and local humanitarian causes.

She leaves behind a large, loving family: daughters Amy Skinner (husband David Beckman) and Jennifer Hall (husband Waylon); stepchildren April Hudson (husband Todd) and Adam Anderson (wife Katherine). Her legacy of joy continues through her grandchildren — Kryston, Ashlynn and Logan — and her many beloved great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lee's favorite charities — Doctors Without Borders, Samaritan’s Purse, Red Cross, Wounded Warrior Project, Azle Good N.E.W.S., or Azle's Angel Trees program — reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others in need.
