Cheryl Denton McDonald

Cheryl Denton McDonald
Cheryl Denton McDonald was born on June 23, 1946, in Butte, Montana, to James and Helen Denton.
A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held March 7 at Madam Pearl’s Dancehall and Saloon in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Throughout her life, she was a devoted mother to three wonderful children and enjoyed a successful career with Teton Exploration, as well as several other esteemed companies. Cheryl was known for her remarkable artistic talents, excelling in painting, sculpting, sewing and many other creative pursuits. If someone had a vision, she could bring it to life with her skill and imagination. Her passion for the kitchen was equally impressive — Cheryl loved cooking, baking and experimenting with new recipes and ideas.
Affectionately known as “Gram Cheryl,” “Cruella,” “Gigi” and “Button,” she truly was one in a million. Cheryl approached life with unmatched zest and spirit; she was a gem, a lover and a giver. Though petite in stature at 4 feet, 11 inches, she was tough as nails and ever the optimist — her glass was always full. Her devotion to those she loved was unwavering, including her deep faith in Jesus, her family, her friends and her love for life itself. Cheryl was the ultimate fan; she was the No. 1 cheerleader in everything everyone did in life. She had a love for all things Texas: cowboys (real ones and the Dallas Cowboys) blue bonnets, and her favorite Texas country musicians.
Cheryl was the life of the party, and for many years, she could be found celebrating at Pearl’s Dancehall and Saloon with her cherished friends.
